Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd's "Money" makes me move my head like I'm listening to classical music. Like a Beethoven symphony, I think. Hm.

Matthew Perry is younger than I am?

I just read in the paper that Matthew Perry turns 36 today.

OK, so it's only by about a year, but yeesh ...

Well, Happy Birthday, Matthew Perry!

Buy me a muzzle, please ...

OK, so a few minutes ago, the department manager came over looking to find a volunteer from our area to go to an important meeting today.

Today's our busy production day, so I told her: "Pick the (project) you don't need finished by the end of the day, and take someone from there."

(Mind you, I have no authority whatsover around here.) Luckily for me, she thought that was hilarious.

Too much information

Here's a USA Today story on oversharing via e-mail, blogs, etc. I just enjoy the irony of linking to it from a blog.

"Applebees wants to shove a steak up my ass?"

That's my favorite line from this story about mismatched advertising jingles in Slate.

I really must stop reading Slate.

The history of ranch dressing

You know, I hate being so impressionable.

I've just read this story about ranch dressing in Slate, and now I can't wait until lunch so I can go get some ranch dressing.

I don't think I even really like ranch dressing all that much.

If loving ice cream is wrong, I don' t wanna be right

Have you heard about this new diet idea, where they trick you into thinking that certain foods once made you sick, so you'll avoid them?

I don't think this would work on me. I would have to start with the foods that really did once make me sick.
